2 April World Autism Day The day is observed internationally on 2nd April every year to raise the awareness about people with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The first Autism day was observed in year 2008 on 2nd April. The day was adopted by the united nations general Assembly on 18th December 2007.

2 April International Children’s Book Day The day is organised annually to inspire a love of reading and to call attention to children’s books.

The day was organised annually since 1967 by international Board on Books for Young People.

2 April Good Friday This is an auspicious day in Christianity. The day is observed by Christians to commemorate the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and is observed on Friday before Easter Day. The day is also known as Black Friday, Holy Friday, Great Friday or Easter Friday.
4 April International Mine Day The day is declares by United Nations.

It was first observed on 4th April 2006.

4 April Easter Festival The day is celebrated in commemorating the Resurrection of Jesus; Easter also celebrates the defeat of death and hope of salvation.

It Begins from Lent and ends with Holy week that includes Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Finally Easter Sunday.

In Latin Easter is known as Pascha. The birth of the Jesus varies every year.

5 April International Day of Conscience The day is celebrated by United Nations.

The first day of international Conscience was observed in 2020. The day is celebrated to highlight the importance and role of Conscience in stopping people from harming others orally, sexually, mentally or Physically.

5 April National Maritime Day The day is observed every year in India.

The day was first celebrated on 5th April 1964.

The saga of India shipping was first  started on 5th April 1919 when the first ship of The Scindia Steam Navigation Company Ltd  named SS Loyalty travelled from Mumbai to united kingdom. An award “Varuna” is conferred to those who made an excellent contribution to the Indian Maritime Sector.

7 April International Day of Reflection on the Genocide against the Tusti in Rwanda genocide The day is observed globally on 7th April every year.

The international day of Reflection in 1994 against the Tutsi in Rwanda was announced by the United General Assembly in 2003. 800,000 Tutsi were assassinated approximately for 100 days.

10 April Siblings Day The day is celebrated honour our siblings, to show affection, to appreciate, one another. In India the occasion of Raksha Bandhan celebrates the special bond between Brother and sister.
10 April World Homeopathy Day The day is celebrated every year to spread the awareness about homeopathy and its contribution to the world of medicine.

The day is marks the birth anniversary of German Physician Dr. Christian Friedrich Samue Hahnemann who is the founder of homeopathy.

 

11 April National Safe Motherhood Day The day is observed every year on 11th April in India.

The day is an initiative of the White Ribbon Alliance India (WRAI) to enforce that woman must have availability and adequate access to care during pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal services.

The day is mark the birth anniversary of Kasturba Gandhi the wife of Mohan Das Karam Chand Gandhi.

The day was first celebrated in 2003 and Government of India declared 11th April as National Safe Motherhood Day.

11 April World Parkinson’s Day The day is observed every year to raise the awareness of Parkinson’s disease, which is progressive nervous system disorder.

The day is marked on the birth anniversary of Dr. James Parkinson from London.  He was the first person to describe the symptoms of Parkinson disease.

12 April International Day of Human Space Flight The day is observed globally every year.

On 12th April 1961, first human space fight was carried out by Yuri Gagarin from soviet union and became the first person to go to outer space.

The date was also the date of the first space shuttle STS of Columbia launched in 1981.

13 April Jallianwala Bagh Massacre This massacre is also known as the Amritsar Massacre which took place on 13th April 1919.
13 April International Turban Day The day was first observed on 13th April 2004. the day is to bring awareness about turban importance and mandatory part of the religion
14 April World Chagas Disease Day The day is celebrated to aware about Chagas Disease which is also called American Trypanosomiasis or silenced disease.

The first day was observed on 14th April 2020. The day has been named after Brazilian doctor Carlos Ribeiro Justiniano Chagas . He diagnosed the first case in 1909.

14 April Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Remembrance Day  (also called Bhim Jayanti) The day is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar who was born on 14th April 1891. He is known as the father of chief Architect of the Indian Constitution. He was the first Law and Justice minister of the country after independence. He was also honoured with Bharat Ratna in 1990.
16 April World Voice Day The day is celebrated to demonstrate the enormous importance of voice in the daily lives of all people.

The day was first observed in 1999 as Brazilian National Voice Day.

17 April World Hemophillia The day observed to raise awareness for Hemophillia and other bleeding disorder. The day was honoured on birth anniversary of World Federation Hemophillia founder Frank Schnabel.

The day was first observed on 1989.

18 April World Heritage Day The day is observed every year on 18th April to raise the awareness about the cultural heritage, monument and conserving.

In 1982, the International Council on Monuments and Sites announced this day on 18th April.

In 1983. This day was approved by the genera assembly UNESCO.

19 April World Liver Day The day is to spread the awareness about the second largest organ in the body, Liver.
21 April World Creativity and Innovation Day The day is observed every year to raise the awareness about importance of creativity and innovation in problem solving and to use new ideas, make new ideas, new decisions and creative thinking.

The day was first found on 25 May 2001 in Toronto Canada on the name of the founder Marci Segal from Canada. 

21 April National Civil Service Day The day is to appreciate the tremendous work done by officers engaged in Public Administration and various departments. The first home minister Sardar Vallabhhai addressed the newly appointed administrative service officers in 1947 at historic place at the Metcalf House in Delhi. He addressed the civil servants the Steel Frame of India.
22 April International Mother Earth Day The day is celebrated every year a over the world to spread awareness for earth well being and to support environmental protection.

The day was first observed in 1970.

22 April International Girls in ICT Day The day is observed to inspire a global movement to increase the representation of girls and woman in technology.
23 April World Book and Copyright Day or International day of the Book and World Book Day The day observed by the UNESCO to promote reading, publishing and copyright.

Several prominent authors: William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes and Josep Pla died on 23rd April and Manue Mejia Vaeo and Maurice Druon were born on 23rd April

23 April UN English Language Day and UN Spanish Language Day The day 23rd April mark both the birth and death anniversary of William Shakespeare. This day is also observed as Hispanic Day in Spain.
On 4th Saturday of April World Veterinary Day The day is observed on fourth Saturday of April every year.

The day was created by the World Veterinary Association in 2000.  

24 April International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace The day was first observed on 24th April 2019.
24 April National Panchayati Raj Day and National Local self Government The day organised by Panchayati Raj every year in India.

The first Panchayati Raj Day was observed on 24th April 2010. the Panchayati Raj institutionalized through 73rd Amendment Act 1992 which came into force from that date.

Rajasthan was the first state that carried the Panchayati Raj System in 1959 during prime minister of Jawaharlal Nehru.  

24 April World Day for Laboratory Animals or World Lab Anima Day The day was Instituted in 1979 by the National Anti- Vivisection Society with aim to end the suffering of animals in laboratories around world and to promote non scientific animal techniques.
25 April World Malaria Day The day was established in May 2007 at 60th session of Word Heath Assembly (WHO decision making body).

The day was developed from African Malaria Day which was first held in 2008.

The first session of the occasion had been observed since 2001.

26 April World Intellectual Property Day The day was established by World Intellectual property Organization in 2000 to raise awareness of how patents, copyright, trademark and designs impact on daily life.

The day came into force in 1970. 

26 April International Chernobyl Disaster Remembrance Day The day was observed to raise awareness about consequences of 1986 disaster. The United Nations proclaimed the day on 26th 2016 that marked the 30th anniversary of 1986 nuclear disaster. On this day, reactor exploded at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine. 
28 April World Day for Safety and Health at Work The day is observed to promote the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases globally and raise awareness to ensure health and safety at work place.

The day has been observed by the International Labour Organization since 2003.

28 April  Worker’s Memorial Day The day is also known as International Commemoration Day Dead and injured workers occur every year.

The day organised by the International Trade Union Confederation since 1996.

29 April International Dance Day The day is celebrates the value and importance of the dance and encourages participation and education in this art through events and festivals.

The day marks the birth anniversary of Jean-Georges Noverre who is known as the creator of modern ballet.

The day was first created by International Theater institute and first created in 1982.

30 April  Ayushman Bharat Diwas The Ayushman Bharat is celebrated to achieve twin mission: heath and  wellness to the poor and also provide insurance benefit to them
30 April International Jazz Day The day is celebrated to highlight the importance of jazz and diplomatic role in uniting people in all corners of the globe. The day is created on ideas of Herbie Hancock who is Jazz pianist and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador.

The UNESCO proclaimed this day in 2011.
